Welcome to the Jackson Wild Collective

A global community for connection and collaboration

A free to join, members only platform

The Collective is the virtual home for the Jackson Wild global storytelling community to connect, collaborate, and inspire change year-round. Through ongoing mentorship, an international production database, and career-building programs, the Collective provides a resource for storytellers at all levels to elevate their impact and expand their opportunities.

The Collective is a free and private community, and membership is approved on an individual basis. To join the community, click here to submit an application. Once approved, as a member of the Collective, you will have access to build your own profile, browse the global production database, check out the jobs/opportunities board, and more!
If you have been a Jackson Wild Media Awards finalist or have been recommended to the Collective by a Board member or Mentor, you will be noted as a Collective Referred Member in the database. If you would like to be considered for our referral program, please email [email protected]

“The global network! I love that you can see where folks are based and meet people easily through both the Collective and other virtual Jackson Wild events.” - Christine Lin

“I really appreciated the editing masterclass with Candice Odgers, as it was not only instructional, but it brought together a group of people with a common interest in a particular part of the filmmaking process. (I'm passionate about editing, so it was a great fit for me!)” - Kirsten Whatley

“I've been able to find mentors through the Collective, and they've been really important in helping me chart a path for my career.”  - Peter Ndung'u

Events

The Collective is made possible through the support of the Jackson Wild Board of Directors with additional funding from National Geographic Society, HHMI Tangled Bank Studios and the Cornell Douglas Foundation.

We want to give a big thank you to the members of our Action Coalitions as well as the Collective Founding Committee — Sarah Joseph, Brooke Runnette and Jacqueline Farmer — for their instrumental role in bringing this initiative to life.
